FREE HERB WALKS TO IDENTIFY MEDICINAL HERBS GROWING LOCALLY
People interested in seeing medicinal herbs growing wild are welcome to join the herb walks to observe medicinal herbs growing locally in the countryside and for tips growing and preserving them. Please don't hesitate to get in touch for updates of the next herb walks. (Spring and Summer are the most popular and rewarding times to see the best herbs.)

See Sundews at Thursley Nature Reserve, Bilberries at a local Heathland habitat, Elderberries, Hawthorn berries and Sloes are also popular country fare to be seen in hedges and country byways. Liquorice can be found growing wild on the old Winchester to Canterbury Pilgrims Way. ​

Herbal medicine classes are taught locally, including practical classes making herbal remedies such as Thyme and Liquorice cough syrup, Marigold Softening and Soothing Healing Face cream (the Victorians were very fond of this ''anti-wrinkle cream'' or crow's foot banisher) , Lemon Balm lip balm, Comfrey (''knit bone'') Healing ointment, Elderberry Cold & Flu Syrup, and an Introduction to Medical Herbalism.

Fresh medicinal herbs are grown locally at an allotment and pots of Melissa, Motherwort, Red Sage, Vervain and Feverfew are usually available at a small charge for clients if required.
