Homeopathic Treatment

Homoeopathy is based on a medical theory of understanding that the body's symptoms are a message from the body calling for help with a particular ailment.

The body raises symptoms to express that something is wrong and help is needed.

For example, pain, such as a headache, is a call to understand the actual cause of the pain, such as dehydration or low blood sugar, and not to just take a painkiller and ignore it, which can quickly lead to more serious disease in the near future.

Homeopathy works by matching the symptoms the person experienced with those of a known homeopathic remedy which would match the associated symptoms, known as the simillimum.  A remedy would be provided to match those symptoms in the form of either a small lactose tablet, a fold of paper containing a powder, or as liquid drops.

The remedy is usually taken only once or just a few times, and then wait to see the effect.  If the remedy is not a match, then there will be no change in symptoms, but if it does match the condition, then the symptoms should be reduced or even get better completely without further need of medication.

The length of time the condition has been experienced may determine whether further treatment is needed.  If it has been a long standing condition of several months or even years, then a longer course of treatment may be needed.  An acute condition, such as sudden tummy ache, may only need a single dose of medicine to be effective.
